The transportation of the topside is being carried out by Royal Wagenborg, using the company’s largest tug, Waterland, and the largest barge, Wagenborg Barge 9.  A specialized team of Wagenborg ballast engineers assisted during the load-out at the quay side of the HSM premises in Schiedam, where the topside was built.

Upon arrival at the port of Esbjerg, the two vessels will await further instructions from Stanislav Yudin, the heavy-lifting vessel installing the topside offshore.

Developed by Vattenfall, Horns Rev 3 is situated off the west coast of Denmark, and is expected to generate green power for some 450,000 households when fully operational. The first turbines at Horns Rev 3 are expected to be connected in 2017.
