TenneT Seeking HVSS Providers for Wind op Zee Projects

Part of the scope of this selection phase, open for applications until 20 April 2016, is the design, system integration, programming, parameterising, testing, delivery in working order, and support with commissioning of the HVSSs.

After the selection of candidates, TenneT will start with a call for tender for the HVSSs.

The call for tender will result in a framework agreement with one supplier for all HVSSs needed for the Wind op Zee projects.

The framework agreement will be for a period of four years, with three one-year extension options. TenneT expects to make the first call of orders in early 2017.

From 2017 onward, TenneT expects to build several offshore platforms for the connection of offshore wind farms to the company’s onshore high voltage grid in the Netherlands.

Each offshore platform will be equipped with a HVSS. Each landstation where one or more platforms are connected to the onshore grid shall also be equipped with a secondary system.
