Metcentre Owners Increase Share Capital

The owners of Marine Energy Test Centre (Metcentre) have increased the share capital of the test centre.

After the capital increase, the owners of Metcentre are Rogaland County (35%), Statoil (35%), Haugaland Kraft (13%), Municipality of Karmøy (8%), Polytec research foundation (5%) and others (4%).

Chairman of the board, Gunnar Birkeland says: “This capital increase is very important for the company. We are collaboration with several technology developers who are planning full-scale test and demonstration of their offshore wind technology. This capital extension makes it possible for Metcentre to have a stronger involvement in these projects and to attract new projects.”
