Energy Institute Announces New Additions to Its Team

The Energy Institute (EI), the professional body for the energy industry, delivering good practice and professionalism, has had new additions to its team.

The EI Council is composed of volunteers representing all aspects of energy and works on the strategic direction of the EI. The newest additions to the Council, elected on 23 June 2015, include: Christopher Boocock CEng FEI, Director for Compliance, Rainham Industrial Services, Andy Hadland GradEI, Energy Engineer, Ameresco, Carl Hughes MA FCA FEI, former Global Head – Energy and Resources, Deloitte, Jaz Rabadia MEI Chartered Energy Manager, Senior Manager – Energy & Initiatives, Starbucks Coffee, Paul Smith FEI, Managing Director – Generation, SSE and Emily Spearman CEng MEI, Lead Commercial Manager – London Array & Lincs, Dong Energy.

Emily Spearman said: “I bring current hands-on, technical, environmental and commercial experience as I work, and have worked, onshore and offshore in both renewables (with DONG Energy) and in oil and gas (with Schlumberger, Parsons Brinkerhoff and Scott Wilson/URS). This broad experience, coupled with my MBA in Global Energy, enables me to provide an up-to-date industry perspective to the EI on the upcoming challenges of these changing times and give the members a modern and innovative voice on Council. As a member of Council I am committed to ensuring the EI remains the institute of choice and the key voice on energy in the UK.”
