Seminar to Highlight Isle of Man Offshore Energy Opportunities

Later this month, London will be a home to the Department of Economic Development’s seminar for Clean Tech/Energy industry.

The aim of this event is to highlight the opportunities Isle of Man offers within the offshore energy.

At the event, DONG Energy, Manx Tidal Energy Ltd and Tocardo Tidal Energy Ltd will give updates on proposed projects.

Graham Cregeen MHK, the Department’s Member with responsibility for Clean Tech and Energy commented:

“The seminar is an excellent opportunity for key industry suppliers to learn more about the proposed wind farm and tidal power projects. “

“The progression of renewable energy projects are anticipated to provide direct income for the Isle of Man Government, including an annual £5 million boost to public funds as well as the creation of local jobs.”

The seminar will take place on Thursday 29th January at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London.
