Carbon Trust in Need of Offshore Wind Consultancy Services

Business & Finance

The Carbon Trust, through its Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) programme, has issued a call for entries from companies interested to undertake a study aimed to assess the benefits of Integrated Design in a FEED level ‒ Front End Engineering and Integrated Design (FEEDID).

The primary objectives of this work are to:

  • To de-risk the Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) supported concepts by means of undertaking a detailed FEED study, i.e. determine a design delivering the lowest project LCOE, taking consideration of foundation fabrication, installation / operational processes; and project interfaces.
  • To understand and quantify the benefits of Integrated Design (Enhanced and Holistic design methodologies, see section 3 for more details) and assess which improvements on the design can be implemented to lower the cost of energy.
  • To define how the potential improvement from Enhanced and Holistic design methodologies (see section 3 of the detailed Scope of work for more details) can be implemented in a full-scale real project development.

Clarification questions should be received by 01st December 2014 and the answers to these questions will be posted by 05th December 2014. The closing date to receive tender submissions is 22 December 2014 (23:59 UK time).
