The vessel is currently conducting testing of the jacking in the North Sea off the coast of Zandvoort.

Mrs K. Aboutaleb-Erahoutan, wife of the Mayor of Rotterdam named the vessel last month during the two-day ceremony.

The vessel’s first project will be the construction of the Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm for the Eneco-Mitsubishi joint venture.

As EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor Van Oord is responsible for the monopiles, the electrical infrastructure, the offshore transformer station and the installation of turbines.
