Seatower Opens Glasgow Office (UK)

Seatower AS has as the leading pioneer within gravity based offshore foundations opened an office in Glasgow in Scotland.

They see the Scottish market as the most interesting offshore wind market currently, and with the plans for Round 3 and deep water sites near Scotland, this is where mass manufacturing and deployment of selffloating GBS foundations for sure will happen. “The market is here”, says Niels Brix Vice President for business development in Seatower in a brief comment motivating the new branch office.

Seatower is a Norwegian founded company designing foundations for offshore wind turbines and substations. Seatower has developed a unique cranefree technology – based on principles from the offshore oil & gas sector – which enables offshore wind projects at deeper waters to be executed cost efficiently with minimized risk. The company is in an exclusive partnership with the world market leader in installation of foundations, Danish MT Hojgaard as well as it cooporates with a number of Scottish companies including Morrison Construction.
