UK: Innovus Organises Clean Technology Event
Cockermouth School’s Eco Centre hosted an event organised by Innovus to discuss opportunities in the clean technology sector, writes Evening Mail.
Besides wind, tidal and wave power, topic at this event included geothermal, bio fuels, anaerobic digestion, biomass, solar photovoltaic generation and community-based heating and power systems.
The aim of this event was to find out what would people expect to see from investment in this industry.
Innovus aims to significantly grow the research, development and innovation activity in Cumbria and provide the primary focus for technology innovators, entrepreneurs and investors. The creation of a pipeline of new technologies at various stages of commercial development, along with direct support available through Innovus, will reduce the early risk for businesses developing new ideas.
