UK: HiDef to Take Part in Global Offshore Wind Show

HiDef will be exhibiting at the first Global Offshore Wind Show to be held in London’s Excel Centre on 13th and 14th June. Stand 233.

HiDef Managing Director John Martin commented: “There are so many nations now contemplating offshore wind that it makes sense to have a global show. HiDef have invested in our largest stand ever for this event, we hope to be in a position to unveil our collision monitoring system along with some exciting developments in our latest generation of survey technologies”.

Andy Webb, HiDef’s environmental and statistics manager, will also be delivering a presentation in Session C9 on Thursday 14th June at 14.30 in Room 4, ICC Capital Suite. Andy’s presentation entitled Removing Market Barriers for Offshore Renewables in the Mid-Atlantic Continental Shelf will focus on environmental effects of potential offshore wind farms in the mid-Atlantic Continental Shelf.

With focus on HiDef’s two year project, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, which is providing essential information for assessing the effects of planned offshore developments on seabirds, whales and dolphins and sea turtles. The project represents collaboration between leading U.S. and British researchers to ensure best practice in survey techniques and assist in sharing experience from the more mature European offshore renewables market.
