Energi Coast and NOF Energy to Host Offshore Wind Supply Chain Event in Newcastle, UK

Energi Coast and NOF Energy, the business development organisation for oil, gas, nuclear and offshore renewables sectors, and North East England’s renewables group, are working with The Crown Estate to deliver a major UK Offshore Wind Supply Chain Event in Newcastle.

Taking place on 17 May at Newcastle United Football Club, the event sponsored by Technip Offshore Wind and OGN Group, will feature industry and business updates from key members of from the offshore renewables sector.

Speakers at the event will include representatives from The Crown Estate, Department of Energy & Climate Change, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, AREVA Wind, EDF Energy Renewables, Siemens Energy, Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe and Energi Coast.

The second half of the full-day event will feature specialist supply chain presentations delivered by representatives from Technip Offshore Wind and OGN Group.

The event is part of the third UK-wide series of events supported by The Crown Estate designed to further engage with the supply chain as development within the industry gains pace.

The development of an effective UK supply chain is central to realising the ambitions of the offshore wind industry. This event will provide an overarching view of the UK’s offshore wind programme, delve into the specific details of individual projects and enable networking with the industry’s key players.

The UK’s world leading offshore wind programme has created a secure renewable energy industry offering significant opportunities for investment and job creation. It already produces around 1.8GW a year and is set to deliver over 8GW in the near future.

This event is part of NOF Energy’s commitment to ensuring companies have the market knowledge needed to deliver a balanced energy future, which requires an efficient supply chain serving multiple energy resources.
