USA: Cambridge International Attends Clean Energy Forum

Director of governmental affairs for Cambridge International, Dion Banks, represented the company at a State of the Union Roundtable hosted by the White House, the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).

The roundtable, conducted by BOEM Director Tommy Beaudreau, was dedicated to America’s Clean Energy Future and job creation. Cambridge International was invited to participate because of the team’s dedication to sustainable manufacturing on the Eastern Shore, including the development and establishment of its newest division, Cambridge Environmental Technologies.

The state of Maryland is considering the possibility of developing a wind farm in Ocean City for the purpose of providing sustainable energy to facilities across the state. The Maryland Offshore Wind Coalition supports this project since it would ensure new job opportunities, stabilize energy prices and clean the air.

Representatives from businesses across the region such as Apex Wind Energy, Green Sensitive Design LLC and the Shinnecock Indian Nation, including representatives from Delaware and New Jersey, were invited to participate.
