DONG Energy Signs Agreement with Crown Estate for Feasibility Study (UK)

DONG Energy reached an exclusive agreement with Crown Estate to carry out a feasibility study offshore Dumfries and Galloway.

The Outer Solway region of South West Scotland is one of several areas announced by Marine Scotland that could potentially host an offshore wind farm.

DONG Energy will be carrying out the Outer Solway feasibility study over the next four months.

They plan to install the total of 300 MW generation capacity on the area of around 60km².

DONG Energy is the market leader in offshore wind power.

At the end of 2010, DONG Energy’s market share of the existing offshore wind farms in operation comprised 23% of a total of 1,341 MW in Great Britain.
