MAKE Consulting Strengthens its Offshore Wind Business (Denmark)

MAKE Consulting – a leading strategic advisor to the wind power industry – enhances its offshore wind intelligence and advisory offerings. Through stronger offshore wind experience, a tailored research concept, and the addition of a known offshore wind specialist – Kaj Lindvig – MAKE Consulting is poised to be a market leader in offshore wind consulting.

Offshore wind power is one of the fastest growing segments in the industry. With growth rates increasing by 80% from 2008-2009 and nearly doubling from 2009-2010, offshore wind power is becoming a mainstream source of energy. This trend has been mirrored at MAKE Consulting, where the consulting business in offshore wind has more than tripled in the last year.

With an aim to further fuel this success, MAKE is pleased to welcome Kaj Lindvig – an eminent pioneer in the offshore wind industry – to its board of directors.

Kaj was one of the first entrepreneurs who ventured into and saw potential in the offshore wind business. He started his offshore career with Semco Maritime in 1995, where he held the position of Division Manager for 5 years. Kaj then ventured into offshore wind power, as a founding pillar and CEO of A2SEA – a world leader in offshore wind installation and service solutions.

“Kaj will join us as a mentor and catalyst that will further propel offshore wind power intelligence and consulting at MAKE” says Morten B. Keller – CEO and Managing Partner of MAKE Consulting. “Apart from strengthening our capabilities and skills, we have also tailored our research concept to cater to the specific needs of our offshore clients.”

A new Offshore Market Intelligence Subscription Package has been crafted to comprise all of MAKE’s offshore wind publications. It provides a comprehensive insight into the status and development of the offshore wind market, along with quarterly market forecast updates, analysis of global project development and policy activity. Additionally, it includes in-depth analysis of the most significant and recent developments in the offshore wind supply chain including topics such as turbines, vessels and global offshore wind turbine order intake and also topics related to the latest offshore technology trends.

“MAKE has developed a leading platform of offshore wind knowledge and expertise garnered through numerous offshore consulting projects executed for our clients in recent years. With our new offshore market intelligence package, and now the addition of Kaj Lindvig to our team; MAKE is poised to be a market leader in Offshore Wind Consulting” says Steen Broust Nielsen – Director, EMEA and Sales and Marketing at MAKE Consulting.

MAKE Consulting will be attending EWEA Offshore 2011 in Amsterdam, where Thomas Karst – Director, Offshore and Technology – will deliver a presentation on ‘The challenges presented to supply chain to meet future demand of offshore wind power plant development across Europe’. MAKE will be available at the event at stall number 10428 for meetings and discussions about the status & development of the global offshore wind industry.
