Daron T. Threet Joins HKLaw’s Energy and Clean Technology Team (USA)

 

Holland & Knight announces that Daron T. Threet has joined the law firm as a partner in the Washington, D.C., office. He is a member of the firm’s Energy & Clean Technology Team.

Threet focuses his practice on the permitting and development of complex energy infrastructure projects and has extensive experience in matters related to the permitting, development and regulation of coastal and offshore energy facilities, including LNG terminals, wind energy projects, and subsea pipelines and cables. Before going into private practice, he was an attorney with the U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, serving as counsel for the Deepwater Port Program and as Administration secretary.

“Daron’s federal government experience, combined with his in-depth knowledge of offshore energy projects, sets him apart from other energy attorneys,” said Michael Cavanaugh, co-chair of Holland & Knight’s Energy & Clean Technology Team. “He will be a valuable resource for our clients.”

Threet is a frequent speaker at industry forums and the author of numerous articles in energy publications. He received several awards during his tenure at the Department of Transportation for his leadership role in the deepwater port licensing and maritime security programs.

Threet received an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D. degree from Notre Dame Law School.
