SeaEnergy Renewables Company of the Year

The title is awarded to the company that has made the most meaningful progress or made the biggest impact in the renewable energy sector during the previous 12 months.

SeaEnergy Renewables was set up in 2008 by the team who conceived, developed and delivered the 10 MW Beatrice offshore wind farm demonstrator project located 25 km off the east coast of Scotland. The company is involved in the recently announced UK Round 3 offshore wind developments, along with its partner EDP Renováveis.

The company was also awarded two development sites in the Scottish Round at the beginning 2009 with partners SSE Renewables (Scottish & Southern Energy plc) and RWE npower renewables (RWE AG) with a capacity of 1.8 GW. It has also signed a Heads of Terms Agreement to develop offshore wind projects in Taiwan.
