Marguerite Sells Stake in 325 MW Belgian Offshore Wind Farm

Marguerite Pantheon has decided to sell its 10 per cent stake in the 325 MW C-Power (Thornton Bank) offshore wind farm in Belgium.

The stake was acquired by existing shareholders in the project and the transaction was signed and closed on 2 February 2024. The company did not provide any financial details about the transaction.

C-Power is Belgium’s first offshore wind farm, built in three phases and operational since 2013.

The offshore wind project is located in Belgium’s exclusive economic zone, 28 kilometres off the Belgian coast.

During the first phase, six Senvion 5 MW wind turbines were erected on gravity-based foundations and the phase was commissioned in 2009. Thornton Bank II consists of 24 Senvion 6 MW wind turbines installed on jacket foundations that were fully commissioned at the beginning of 2013. The third phase also comprises 24 Senvion 6 MW wind turbines, which have been producing electricity since July 2013.

C-Power NV was the company responsible for the development of the wind farm, with shareholders including EDF Renewables, RWE’s renewables arm, and DEME Concessions, among others.
