Tekmar Energy has won a contract to supply its TekLink cable protection systems (CPS) for an undisclosed offshore wind farm in Germany.
The UK-based cable protection specialist will supply the CPS ”for a remedial campaign on a major offshore wind farm located in the Sylt Offshore Cluster of the German North Sea.”
The units will be delivered directly to the developer for installation this year.
”The CPS has been designed to specifically address and overcome key and unexpected as-built conditions faced on the project during the operational phase,” Tekmar Energy said.
”This scope of supply further demonstrates the confidence clients have in Tekmar Energy as a market-leading solutions provider.”
The CPS will be produced within Tekmar Energy’s UK facility and will utilize the latest design developments.
The Sylt Offshore Cluster comprises the 288 MW Butendiek, operated by wpd, the 288 MW DanTysk, and the 288 MW Sandbank, operated by Vattenfall.
