Scour Protection Works Needed at One Trianel Windpark Borkum Turbine

Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum has issued a tender for the provision and installation of scour protection at one wind turbine location in the Trianel Windpark Borkum (TWB) offshore wind farm in Germany.

The contractor is responsible for the provision of the scour protection material (rocks) and its installation. Therefore, the chosen company will also provide any required vessels, equipment, personnel and project execution documentation.

The contract will also cover any port-related handling activities.

Furthermore, the contract further entails pre-, intermediate and as-built surveys to ensure the works have been done according to the installation specifications outlined by TWB.

The deadline for submitting the bids is 15 May 2020.

Scour protection works under this contract will start on 1 August and be completed by the end of this year.

The 200 MW Trianel Windpark Borkum comprises 40 Adwen 5 MW turbines which have been operational since 2015.

The project owner, Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum, is currently building the project’s second phase, which will feature 32 Senvion 6.2 M152 turbines scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year.
