JGC Finishes SeaRoc Marine Coordination Training
SeaRoc Group has delivered marine coordination training to JGC at its office in Chichester, the UK.
According to SeaRoc, JGC is the first Japanese EPC contractor to complete the course, and partnering discussions are ongoing to strengthen the relationship between the companies.
During the five-day training, the JGC team was provided with techniques of marine coordination, as well as training and guidance on the SeaPlanner Marine Management System.
“We are pleased that JGC are taking the proactive step to prepare their Engineering team to enter this new phase in the Japanese offshore wind market. We believe that it is essential that local Japanese personnel are fully trained to manage safe and effective offshore operations,” said Steve Pears, Managing Director at SeaRoc.
SeaRoc completed the first specialist marine coordination training for Japanese offshore wind personnel in September last year.
The initiatives are a part of international courses planned under the management of SeaRoc’s Consultancy team, which is holding a series of seminars in Asia in cooperation with Tokyo Marine Insurance and Class NK.
