Awarded by Able UK, MTE built eight heavy duty steel fabricated transportation cradles that will be used to move the transition pieces.

MTE will also be manufacturing 20 suspended internal support structures (SIPS) for the project. The contract was awarded by Billingham-based OSB EEW.

Located 120km off the Yorkshire coast, Hornsea One will comprise 174 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines installed on monopile foundations. Once operational in 2021, it will become the world’s largest wind farm.
