The new facility comprises a strong floor and associated hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems.

Initially, the facility shall be carrying out pitch bearing tests and in the future shall be capable of being modified to fulfil main bearing testing and or other component testing.

The contract is valued at GBP 6 million and is expected to be completed by 30 September 2019. Due to funding arrangement, this will be an aggressive build programme, ORE Catapult said.

The tender will remain open until 24 August.
