Under the terms of the contracts, Tekmar will supply its TekLink Cable Protection Systems (CPS), Cable Hang-off Clamps (HOC) and Cable Joint Protection for the project.

According to Tekmar, the contracts represent a multi-million pound scope and will need to be delivered in early 2018 in order to meet the demands of the project.

The offshore works, such as the installation of foundations and inter-array cables, are currently scheduled to commence in early 2018.

The 1.2GW project, located off Grimsby, UK, will comprise 174 Siemens 7MW wind turbines. Once fully operational in 2020, it will be the largest offshore wind farm in the world.

Ørsted, the sole owner of the wind farm, holds the project rights to the Hornsea Project Two and Three, which have the potential of further 3GW offshore wind power capacity in total.
