J.A. Rederiet Upgrades Vessels for Offshore Wind Ops
Danish shipowner J.A. Rederiet has upgraded its multipurpose support vessels Susanne A and Mira A to meet the requirements of offshore DP2 and DP1, respectively, so they can carry out operations in the offshore wind industry.
J.A. Rederiet has operated the two vessels since 2009 as dive support, UXO/EOD, noise mitigation, vibrocoring, and CPT.
According to the operator, the vessels’ design with 400 m2 work deck, allows flexibility as to deck layout and equipment. They can also be equipped for offshore dive support with own equipment.
J.A. Rederiet further added that it had completed its first contract in the North Sea, which involved survey works for TenneT.
