Aqualis Offshore’s London-office will provide structural site assessments at the locations where A2SEA’s SEA INSTALLER jack-up vessel will install 49 MHI Vestas 8.3MW wind turbines.

“We have recently supported A2SEA and its vessel SEA INSTALLER with similar scope of work at the Race Bank and the Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm in the UK. The A2SEA installation team is very knowledgeable and experienced, so we are very pleased that they would like our support in Denmark too,” said David Wells, CEO of Aqualis Offshore.

Vattenfall’s Horns Rev 3 wind farm will be built between 29 and 44 kilometres west of Houstrup Strand on Jutland’s west coast, in water depths of up to 21 metres. The offshore wind farm will consist of 49 wind turbines with a total capacity of 406.7MW, which can generate power equivalent to the annual consumption of 425,000 Danish households.
