The teams have cleared 25 suspicious items this week alone, but no weapons or ammunition thus far.

The EUR 3.5 million project to clear the subsea ordnance and other materials from the site is expected to be finished within the next six months.

The OTB, to be built in the southern area of Bremerhaven, is a EUR 180 million project that will serve the offshore wind industry. It will have a 500m quay connected with a logistics area of 25 hectares and will be operated by BLG Logistics Group.

In early December 2015, the Authority for the Environment, Construction and Transport gave the green light to build the project.

The commissioning of the terminal is planned for 2019/2020.
