Representatives from Deepwater Wind, RES Americas, Fishermen’s Energy, U.S. Wind, and the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) requested the meeting to discuss industry comments responding to BOEM’s Request for Information on the State of the Offshore Renewable Energy Industry, published on 30 September, 2015.

”We appreciate the effort that every commenter took in providing their thoughts for how BOEM can improve its renewable energy program. We will use the information submitted to inform our strategic planning efforts and to determine whether and how we should change our existing renewable energy processes, including, if warranted, our renewable energy regulations. We will let the public know once we have made such decisions regarding our processes,” Tracey Moriarty from BOEM’s Office of Public Affairs (Renewable Energy) told Offshore WIND.
