Offshore WIND’s photo of the day: Seajacks Scylla on sea trials, which began this month.

Seajacks Scylla went on her seatrials at the beginning of October, before being delivered to its owner by the end of the year.

The vessel, built at Samsung Heavy Industries’ (SHI) Geoje Yard in South Korea, is equipped with a 1500t leg-encircling crane, incorporates useable deck space in excess of 5000m², and has over 8000t of available variable load. Seajacks Scylla is outfitted with 105m long legs that have the ability to install components in water depths of up to 65m.

Deemed the largest and most advanced offshore wind farm installation vessel, Seajacks Scylla has already been hired for German Veja Mate offshore wind farm and the Walney Extension in the UK.
