Deadline for Navitus Bay Objection Passes

The due date for submitting an objection against a wind energy project located around 10km south of Dorset and the Isle of Wight has passed yesterday.

The Planning Inspectorate is now set to consider the Navitus Bay wind farm application which consists of up to 194 wind turbines.

An approximate installed capacity of 970 MW will be enough to generate electricity for around 700.000 UK households.

This project is being developed by a 50-50 Joint Venture between Eneco Wind UK Ltd (Eneco) and EDF Energy Renewables.
