Bureau Veritas is making its mark in the industry; project certification, type certification, offshore HSE, turbine reliability and performance, expert turbine inspections, HV and grid solutions and quality and procurement support.

Offshore wind is now being planned on an industrial scale. The risks, whether safety, quality, integrity, reliability or delay; are becoming more complex and critical. Bureau Veritas is uniquely placed to help offshore wind farm developers, turbine manufacturers and supply chain companies identify and manage their risks throughout the project’s lifecycle.

This year’s conference and exhibition is a truly global event, bringing together all major developers, turbine manufacturers and supply chain companies; sharing knowledge and new developments.

The event also marks the introduction of two new members of the UK Renewables team. Dr Babak Eftekharnejad, Reliability Principal and Rachel Bowes the team’s new Business Development Manager. Both join Bureau Veritas with impressive pedigrees. Babak will be leading the development of capabilities and services around reliability and performance assessment of turbines and wind farms and is ex RES and Romax technology, whilst Rachel is well known in UK offshore and marine renewables from her time at Senergy, EMU and Pelamis.

“Bureau Veritas is delighted to attend and support RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind 2014. We are now active on projects throughout the lifecycle. Whether that’s in construction in Germany, in development in the UK or early development in France, Bureau Veritas can demonstrate the expertise, processes and resources to help make projects better and safer.” said John MacAskill, Head of Renewables (Europe). “We bring an efficient international network, a well-respected brand and reputation, recognised technical expertise and a broad service portfolio. These are our assets and we go beyond simple compliance with regulations and standards, reducing risk; we aim to also improve performance and promote sustainable development”.
