EMEC to Take Great Part in All-Energy

EMEC will be exhibiting and speaking at the All-Energy Exhibition and Conference 2014 in Aberdeen next week on 21st and 22nd May 2014.

EMEC to Take Great Part in All-EnergyAquatera will provide an update on the Performance Review of Maritime Support Services for Orkney. The Scottish Government funded project has explored and characterised the performance of Orkney-located vessels and associated services carrying out marine renewables operations.

Wave and tidal energy developers testing at EMEC will present an overcoming technical challenges through real-sea testing. This will include talks from Aquamarine Power, Pelamis Wave Power and Wello Oy from the EMEC wave test site, and Nautricity, Open Hydro and Scotrenewables Tidal Power on the tidal test sites.

John Griffiths, EMEC Technical & Compliance Director, is also speaking at Biting the bullet – finance and funding session alongside Andrew Smith (Renewable Energy Investment Fund), David Hytch (Technology Strategy Board), and Dan Pearson (Meygen). The session is being chaired by Janine Kellett (Scottish Government) with a keynote from John Callaghan (The Crown Estate).

EMEC  will be exhibiting at stand ORK40 in the Orkney pavilion (part of the Highlands & Islands area).
