UK: SeaRoc Gets OHSAS 18001 Certification

UK SeaRoc Gets OHSAS 18001 Certification

Marine engineering consultancy SeaRoc announces that it has achieved certification to OHSAS 18001: the internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems.

The award reinforces SeaRoc’s already-strong commitment to improving health and safety performance and managing risks across its broad range of activities.

SeaRoc operates an Integrated Management System for quality, health, safety and environmental management (QHSE). This health and safety achievement complements SeaRoc’s existing certification to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for quality and environment respectively, providing truly integrated QHSE management.

The accreditation supports SeaRoc’s “right first time” key efficiency and delivery target. The company’s stated aim is the delivery of high standards of products and services to customers in an efficient, effective and environmentally sustainable manner while protecting the health, safety and welfare of personnel.

The certification was carried out by the independent classification society Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and covers SeaRoc’s full scope of work, including QHSE, Marine, Engineering and Project Management expertise; GIS, data and marine management tools and services; and construction project management (EPCI) for the offshore renewable energy sector.

David Wotherspoon, SeaRoc’s Deputy Managing Director, said: “We’re proud to have achieved this suite of certifications. Our team continuously works hard to ensure that we deliver the best services to our clients, and this is an excellent recognition of the high standards that we implement and maintain. Our clients can be confident that SeaRoc’s QHSE management practices are in line with the highest international standards.”
