USA Richmond Hosts Governor's Conference on Energy

Richmond is host to 4th Annual Governor’s Conference on Energy, one of the nation’s most dynamic energy events, which is being held this week from Tuesday till Thursday at Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond.

Virginia Offshore Wind Development Authority meet on the first day of the event. It was its first meeting since Dominion Virginia Power got final U.S. approval of its offshore lease bid.

The conference brings together energy innovators and veteran business leaders with educators, researchers, entrepreneurs and policy makers in the Energy Capital of the East Coast, to talk about implementing an “all of the above” strategy for meeting the future with abundant, reliable and affordable domestic energy.

The 2013 Governor’s Conference on Energy brings together participants from across the Commonwealth from sectors that include business and industry, state and local government, educators, facility managers and owners, design and engineering companies, academic institutions, economic development agencies, community organizations, transportation, agriculture, and the military.
