USA: NWF’s Report Supports Offshore Wind Development
National Wildlife Federation (NWF) issued a new report, which says that mutual effort on building offshore wind farms in the Atlantic Ocean will help avoid climate change. Also, offshore wind turbines are estimated to create up to 300,000 overall working positions.
Benefit of the offshore wind industry will affect Maine coastal cities and ports, creating an area for manufacturing as well as for installation and maintenance work, the Public News Service informs.
NWF’s report, which states that federal, state and local governments need to work jointly and fast as they can on offshore wind power, is supported by influential environmental groups.
