UK: Natural Power to Speak, Chair at Global Wind Industry Events

Global renewable energy consultancy Natural Power has been appointed to speak and chair a number of sessions at Windpower Monthly Offshore Consenting Conference, London, AWEA Offshore 2012 and EWEA 2013.

The company’s Director of French Operations, Oisin Brady, has been nominated as a lead session chair at EWEA 2013.

The European Wind Energy Association’s annual conference in 2013 will take place in Vienna from Monday 4th – Thursday 7th February, and it is the annual gathering for the wind industry in Europe. The successful nomination will see Mr. Brady chairing the Offshore Resources session taking place on Thursday 7th. Natural Power will also be exhibiting at the event, at stand A-D40.

With more than a decade in the wind industry, Mr. Brady is currently the Director of Natural Power’s French office and in addition oversees the delivery of many areas including onshore and offshore wind analysis, multidisciplinary due diligence and array design globally.

Natural Power has also championed leading edge areas of resource assessment including Computational Fluid Dynamics and Remote Sensing.

A further three of Natural Power’s staff will play a significant role at The American Wind Energy Association’s Wind Resource & Project Assessment Seminar taking place in Pittsburgh, USA on 13-14th September 2012.

Jim Adams, President of North American Operations, will chair the Post Construction Operational Feedback Session in the morning of 14th September, with colleague Gary Winslow, Senior Project Engineer also presenting at this session on ‘Updating Secondary Loss Assumptions from Detailed Operational Data Analysis’.

Claude Abiven, Senior Technical Manager in the French office will also be presenting at this AWEA Seminar. Mr. Abiven’s presentation on Atmospheric Variability Modelling, Mesoscale & CFD Model Coupling and Atmospheric Stability will take place at the Flow Modelling Comparison Exercise session on Friday 14th September.

Meanwhile, Richard Walls, Director of Ecology & Hydrology and the lead for offshore wind within Natural Power will address the Offshore Consenting Conference in London on 12th September, providing information on ‘best practice’ survey techniques and integrated approaches to key ecological consenting issues.

This will focus on addressing key consenting risks, ecological analysis and approaches to assessment for the UK and Europe (including those posed by marine mammals and birds).
