UK: Humber Gateway and Race Bank Now Qualify Under ‘Enduring Regime’

Humber Gateway and Race Bank transmission assets will now be able to qualify under the “enduring regime”, says reNews Europe news site.

According to the regulator Ofgem, developer’s construction programme schedules the assets to be completed by August this year. Based on that, Ofgem expects to grant an Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) licence and complete the transfer by December.

The regulator explained that the most efficient approach to the transfer of the assets for the London Array project (Phase 1) is through a single transfer, once they have been constructed.

Humber and Race were originally allocated under transitional tender round 2, which includes West of Duddon Sands project as well. Ofgem says further detail on that project will be available soon.
