UK: Scottish Power Renewables Publishes Argyll Array Photomontages

Scottish Power Renewables has published its official collection of scale-accurate photomontages of the Argyll Array in situ.

The company has presented two layouts, for both 300 turbines (of 6MW capacity) and 180 turbines (of 10MW capacity) shown from each location  Beinn Hough, Sandaig, Balephuil and near Tilley, which are mapped.

Each photomontage comes in two parallel versions: the photomontage view with the turbines shown in white and the Photowire view where they are shown in red.

The Argyll Array site is located 5 km off the coast of Tiree, covering approximately 361 km2. It is believed that the site has the potential to generate anywhere between 500MW to 1800MW of clean green energy, enough to power 270,000 to 1,000,000 households.
