The Netherlands: Offshore Energy Introduces Offshore Wind Zone

Offshore Energy, Exhibition & Conference, introduces the Offshore Wind Zone at the fifth edition of the event, taking place on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 October 2012, Amsterdam RAI, The Netherlands.

Offshore Energy is the only annual event in The Netherlands dedicated to offshore energy, and the fastest growing offshore event in Europe. It combines an extensive exhibition with a conference program on the latest developments and markets in the industry, attracting key players from the international offshore, oil & gas, offshore wind and renewable energy sector.

In 2011, offshore professionals from over 30 nationalities (a.o. Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, Italy, USA, China, Australia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Venezuela, the United Arab Emirates and Ghana) have found their way to Offshore Energy. In total 292 companies, with numerous operating within the offshore wind industry, displayed their products and services. More then 5,000 industry professionals visited the business-to-business exhibition. A considerable part of these visitors had a special interest in the offshore wind sector.

Increased role of offshore wind at exhibition

The offshore wind industry has become an industry in its own right and now delivers an integral part of our global power generation. Offshore wind has always been an important part of Offshore Energy, and its role will steadily increase as market demands are rising. The organization of Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference is pleased to announce the introduction of the Offshore Wind Zone at the 2012 edition. The Offshore Wind Zone is a clearly demarcated area exclusively for offshore wind supply chain companies. Also, the well known Offshore Wind Route, highlighting offshore wind activities of participating companies that service multiple offshore industries, will be extended with various options to attract the right visitors.

Conference program addressing offshore wind

Offshore Energy offers multiple conference opportunities, each concentrating on a different yet interlocking theme. The program is dedicated to giving maximum information from the leading experts about the latest developments in offshore, oil & gas and renewable energy. The program will feature several sessions on strategies for successful offshore wind farm development.
