SGS Exhibits for Second Time at RenewableUK Offshore Wind 2011

SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, is exhibiting for the second time at RenewableUK Offshore Wind 2011, being held in Liverpool, UK.

For the duration of the event, running June 29-30, 2011, SGS’s team of experts will showcase the wide range of services it offers to the renewable energy industry at stand 207.

Offshore Wind 2011, which takes place at the Arena and Convention Center (ACC) in Liverpool, is one of the leading renewable energy conferences and exhibitions. With the exhibition fully booked, with 167 companies and over 2,500 delegates expected to attend, the event is the perfect meeting place for everyone interested in the development of the renewable energy sector in the UK and worldwide.

The two-day event provides an exciting opportunity for SGS Industrial Services to showcase its wide portfolio of Renewable Energy services, these include Risk Management, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management, Manufacturing Inspection, Non-Destructive Testing, End of Warranty Inspection, Condition Monitoring and Statutory Inspection. It is also a chance to meet potential business partners.

The key objective of the Risk Management services provided by SGS is to ensure that all possible wind farm risks are reduced and investments secured throughout the entire wind farm project development.

Through Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management SGS optimizes the lifecycle revenue generated by a wind farm project, while assuring high quality and safe practices during the project’s realization phase.

With Manufacturing Inspection, which is part of the Supply Chain Services, SGS guarantees the high quality of products by means of verification and witnessing of tests. SGS provides Manufacturing Inspection to monitor and verify the conformity of manufactured products with technical and purchase specifications, applicable drawings, codes, standards and other relevant contractual documents.

The SGS team of experts is also showcasing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services throughout the entire Offshore Wind 2011 Conference and Exhibition. Since many failures found on running wind turbines are related to poor material quality, the wrong choice of material or to manufacturing and welding faults, SGS assesses the quality of structures and components throughout an asset’s lifecycle, this includes the design, procurement and installation phase as well as the operation of the asset, to provide quality assurance and process safety.

Attendees of Offshore Wind 2011 will also have a unique chance to learn more about In-Service Inspection services, including, but not limited to, Condition Monitoring, End of Warranty Inspection and Statutory Inspection. With In-Service Inspection SGS ensures that the condition of the wind farm is maintained over time and that the project certificate remains valid.

SGS looks forward very much to attending the Offshore Wind 2011 Conference and Exhibition in Liverpool and hopes to convince attendees that its range of services and the breadth of its expertise are practically unrivalled.
