The monopiles will be produced by Sif. The transition pieces will be produced by Sif in a joint venture with Smulders, whereby Sif will produce the primary steel and Smulders will be responsible for the secondary steel and outfitting of the transition pieces.

The Hohe See wind farm will be located around 90km north of the island of Borkum, covering an area of 42 square kilometres. Commissioning of the wind farm is planned for the third quarter of 2019.
