World-class track record
With our versatile fleet of offshore installation vessels we are able to execute wind farm projects in the most challenging marine environments. Our scope of work includes EPCI contracting for foundations, monopile installation, pre-piling and post-piling jacket foundations, cable installation, wind turbine logistics and maintenance services during the operational lifetime of wind farms. We have a strong track record of offshore wind projects across Europe, and several interesting offshore wind developments are underway in Asia. We secured a series of contracts for offshore wind farm projects in Taiwan. In cooperation with CSBC, Taiwan’s largest shipyard, we combine our advanced techniques and experience with CSBC’s expertise as a renowned shipbuilder. We were also awarded the first major EPCI foundation contract in France for the 480 MW Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm. The Saint-Nazaire project will involve drilled monopiles, a new step forward for the offshore wind industry. This project further highlights our technical expertise in providing innovative solutions for the offshore wind industry.

Always working closely with our customers, we understand what it takes to deliver a project safely, costeffectively and on time. Safety is our first priority at every offshore project. Working in the offshore energy sector for decades, we operate according to the highest QHSE standards and always make our safety performance visible by transparent reporting. For DEME Offshore, caring for safety is a determining element for successful offshore installations.
Pushing the boundaries of innovation
Pushing the boundaries of innovation is at the heart of DEME Offshore. We continuously develop new techniques, methods and tools in the fast-evolving offshore wind industry. We are often the first in the world to propose new solutions which lead to improvements in safety, working time and accuracy. As an example, we developed the innovative, dual-lane cable installation system on board of our multipurpose vessel ‘Living Stone’, improving production rates and reducing costs for cable installation.
Next generation offshore installation vessel Orion
We operate a high-tech and versatile fleet of offshore installation and multipurpose vessels, maintenance and service vessels. By continuously investing in new technologies, we ensure our fleet is futureproof by pursuing enhanced productivity and efficiency goals.
With the new offshore installation vessel Orion, expected to join our fleet in 2020, we will bring a game changing installation concept to the offshore energy market. The DP3 vessel will feature an unrivalled combination of exceptionally high transport and load capacity, impressive lifting heights and green technology. Orion will be equipped with a high-tech crane with a lifting capacity of 5,000 tonnes. Loads can be lifted to an unrivalled height of more than 170 m. Environmental considerations are also an important element of the vessel design. Orion has dual fuel engines, enabling her to run entirely on LNG.
With Orion we will be uniquely positioned to meet the future requirements of our customers and the trend towards larger turbines and bigger wind farm projects, delivering energy at lower costs.
Geoscience expertise
We have our own in-house site investigation company, G-tec, which can deliver the full package of geoscience services to the renewables industry. G-tec is specialised in offshore geotechnical and geological site investigations, geophysical marine and environmental surveys and deep-sea engineering services.
Certified quality
Offshore wind projects are often complex, and the wind farms we build may be enormous, but the tolerances we respect, the accuracy we aim at and the precision of our execution is unequalled. An offshore wind turbine tower may rise to the skies but its foundations are piled at vertical and relative tolerances measured in just millimetres. This quality is guaranteed by numerous certificates, including ISO 9001, VCA** and OHSAS 18001.
