East of England to Get New Offshore Wind Special Interest Group

The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) has announced the formation of a new offshore wind special interest group which aims at establishing the East of England as a centre of excellence for offshore wind in the UK.

The new SIG will be under the chairmanship of Graham Hacon of 3sun and is expected to work collaboratively with industry and local and regional government to promote, support and strengthen the regional supply chain companies and infrastructure offering and its potential to export, improve its sustainability and encourage local and regional competitiveness.

EEEGR is now looking to form the steering group that will lead this SIG and assist the group in setting the terms of reference (TOR), developing strategy, targeting desired outcomes and assisting in establishing subjects and speakers for events.

Applicants must complete a form ensuring that they have their company’s approval to serve on the SIG steering group and providing reasons why they are suitable for the steering group. The closing date for the submission of the forms is 23 September.
