EMO to Monitor Nordsee One Construction

EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) has won a deal for a 332MW Nordsee One wind farm, located 32 kilometres north of the Island of Juist.

The German company will be in charge of monitoring and safeguarding the wind farm construction area of 41.3 km² between the traffic separation area Terschelling-German Bight and German Bight western approach.

The vessel provided by EMO will evaluate if any risk of collision or unauthorised entrance from not project related traffic is likely to occur and take measures accordingly during the entire installation phase.

Nordsee One comprises 54 wind turbines capable of providing power for around 400,000 average households.
