Hammond Certifies Its 1000th Commercial Drysuit

British drysuit manufacturer, Hammond Drysuits Ltd, is celebrating a milestone in its specialist commercial service division, after completing the service and certification of its 1000th commercial drysuit.

This achievement comes after Hammond Drysuits welcomed on board a number of clients who have chosen Hammond Drysuits to supply high quality commercial drysuits to its teams, including Viking Life Saving Equipment Ltd, 3Sun Group Ltd, Wind Farm Equipment Ltd, Certex Ltd and MHI Vestas Offshore.

Chris Hammond, Managing Director, says: “With the increase in adverse weather predicted for this winter putting extra strain on the UK’s Search & Rescue teams, in addition to the rapid expansion of our offshore renewables industry in recent years, demand for high quality commercial drysuits has risen sharply.

“Along with that, commercial, governmental and charitable organisations have a responsibility to their workers to ensure protective equipment is in the best working order. That means regular inspection and servicing. Here at Hammond Drysuits we are very happy to work with individual organisations to help them achieve that.”

Every drysuit received for service undergoes a Full Wet Pressure test to identify any areas in need of attention, in particular seams, zips and seal. A comprehensive visual check is then completed by the skilled service team. Any repair work deemed necessary is undertaken at Hammond Drysuits’ dedicated workshop facility at Dartford, Kent, before being couriered directly back to the customer.

A full certificate is issued on completion of the service, for use with insurance. An expedited service is available for urgent repairs.
