Denmark: Blue Water, Fred. Olsen Successfully Cooperate on Riffgat OWF

Blue Water loaded the last component from the Port of Esbjerg to the German wind farm Riffgat Offshore Wind Farm which is located in the North Sea. The turbines were installed by the experienced Norwegian company Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, who looks back on a positive project.

“The cooperation with Blue Water has been excellent and we are very pleased with the quality and service we have been provided with,” says Petter Faye Søyland, Project Manager from Fred. Olsen Windcarrier.

The fundamental values of Blue Water have been a source to the good cooperation.

“We have a extensive experience within the offshore industry and a professional approach to create the best solutions in cooperation with our clients. But in general, we focus first and foremost on the needs of our clients,” says Klaus Odby Jensen, Agency Manager from Blue Water.

“We have loaded ‘Bold Tern’ four times with a total of 30 turbines including nacelles, tower sections and rotor blades. In addition to the stevedore assignments, we have also handled crew changes, various purchases for the ship and ensured that spare parts have been delivered,” says Klaus Odby Jensen.

The foundations for Riffgat were installed in 2012 and now the last turbine is in place. The annual output for the project is expected to supply around 120,000 households.
