UK: Aquatic Engineering & Construction, Acteon Join PEH

Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd, an Acteon company, has become one of several businesses that form the new Peterhead Energy Hub (PEH).

The port of Peterhead is a major strategic gateway to the North Sea for the oil and gas industry, and various suppliers and contractors have been invited to join the Peterhead Energy Hub to provide a much-needed focus for the activities, capabilities and availability of businesses that operate from this vital port. The aim of the PEH is to become recognised as an international centre for the subsea, renewable energy and decommissioning sectors. Current members include Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd, ASCO, Banff and Buchan College, Dales Marine Services, Energetica, Enviroco, Falck Nutec, Peterhead Port Authority, Robert Gordon University and Score Group.

As part of the marketing strategy of PEH, each member business has created its own short video showcasing its expertise and capabilities. The finished videos have been combined into a larger show reel (click here to view) to help offer broader understanding of the services and facilities these businesses in Peterhead currently provide.

“We are a considerable stakeholder in the PEH. Peterhead is one of our key logistic hubs where we also have our custom-built workshop and yard facility; this gives us vested interest in local Peterhead communities and businesses,” said Innes Mitchell, head of operations at Aquatic’s Peterhead facility. “For us, it is imperative to forge local commercial partnerships that complement our own strategic direction The PEH is an integral component of that ambition.”

Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd is internationally renowned for laying and retrieving flexible and semi-rigid products on the seabed and has proven ability in shallow and deep water, and extensive experience of off- and onshore installation, transpooling, recovery and decommissioning.
