UK: Lundy Island Residents Fear Offshore Wind Turbines

Lundy Island residents are concerned about the possible wind power development offshore their coast, reports the North Devon Gazette 24.

Last week, representatives from RWE npower renewables held a meeting at the Lundy Island to brief the residents about the Atlantic Array offshore wind farm plans.

After the briefing, the visitors were concerned that the gigantic offshore wind farm would ruin the calmness and ecology of one of England’s last true island wildernesses.
