UK: CWind Appoints New Non-executive Director

CWind,has appointed experienced business advisor Mike Burrows as a non-executive director to its board to aid its business expansion plans in servicing the construction and maintenance of off-shore wind farms.

Mike Burrows, a graduate of St Andrew’s University, spent his career working as a Chartered Accountant. Prior to retiring he was in practice as a partner with Grant Thornton for eight years and KMPG for fourteen years. He is also Chair of the North Norfolk Coastal Energy Forum.

 CWind MD Peter Jorgenson said: “CWind continues on its course of expansion and we are pleased to have Mike Burrows on board. His experience and skill set will be a great asset to CWind’s growth plans”.

 Mike Burrows said: “I am delighted to join the board at CWind. It is a very exciting time for the offshore wind industry right now and I think CWind is very well placed to play a key role in its development”.

Mike is a past president of the East Anglia Institute of Chartered Accountants. He was also previously Regional Managing Partner and Chair of HR for Grant Thornton UK LLP, chair of the Eastern Region Audit Committee of the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), audit chair of NHS Midlands and East Strategic Health Authority and Deputy Chair of Shaping Norfolk’s Future.

Mike is the Chair of Hinchingbrooke Hospital NHS Trust the first hospital in England to be managed by a private company- Circle Health . He is a Trustee of The Genome Analysis Centre, Sheringham Little Theatre and Community Music East. He is also chair of Norfolk’s Strategic Services co-ordinating Group that helps to inform the development of infrastructure strategies for Norfolk.
