E.ON in Talks with Potential Offshore Wind Investors (Germany)

The energy company Eon is in preliminary talks with financial investors so as to discuss the possibility for potential investors to join the company’s offshore wind projects, reported FTD, quoting Mike Angle, CEO of E.ON Climate & Renewables.

The new funding would most probably enable the company to tackle even larger projects in the future.

Last year, EON revealed its intention to invest EUR 7 billion in renewable for three large wind farms in the North Sea and Baltic Sea and new transmission lines for wind power. Initial plan is to extend this investment over the next five years.

The company is the third largest operator of offshore wind farms.
