GL Announces 10th Hamburg Offshore Wind Conference: Developments Leading Offshore Industry (Germany)

The technical challenges, current achievements and future opportunities of offshore wind projects will be discussed and debated at the 10th Hamburg Offshore Wind Conference (HOW) on 7-8 February 2012.

The conference, organised by GL Garrad Hassan, invites developers, turbine and foundation manufactures, engineering consultants, investors and operators of wind turbines to consider the market environment, current and future offshore wind projects, the financing of these projects, supply chain complexity, and research and development accomplishments.

What current investment and finance options are available on the market? What progress has been made in terms of offshore projects in deeper waters? How is the supply chain going to be organised for upcoming projects? – These questions will be considered at the conference.

Participants will gain insight into the progress of current and future German offshore projects. Project developers will speak about the challenges related to their projects and give an update on the status of their projects. Representatives from banks and investment firms will give their insight into the maturity of German offshore projects. Leading wind turbine suppliers will speak about the newest developments in offshore wind turbines. How the offshore wind supply chain is handling the increased demand for materials will be discussed at the event alongside the latest research and development plans from research institutes and universities.

The conference will be conducted in English.
